Cherry wood adds a slightly sweet and fruity smoke flavoring that is great for poultry, ham, pork and many more. To achieve optimal flavor, soak the cherry wood chips in cool clean water for about 30 minutes. Without soaking they will burn quicker and provide slightly less flavor.
